Boston United play host to Bradford Park Avenue in the UniBond Premier League on Saturday, aiming to extend their winning run into a fifth match.

The Pilgrims have recorded successive victories over Glapwell, Matlock Town, Buxton and Stamford, but their greatest test to date will unfold on Saturday when they face big-spending Bradford.

The teams are tied together on 14 points in the current UniBond Premier League table, although the Pilgrims do have one game in hand on their Yorkshire rivals.

A victory for either side on Saturday could push them into a play-off place — a fact not lost on Boston boss Tommy Taylor. He told bufc.co.uk: “We have done tremendously well away from home recently and now it’s time to reinforce that on home soil. We have two home matches in the space of four days and we must take advantage of that.

“It will be tough against Bradford, but it’s about what we do and I have confidence that our players can deliver the goods again.

“It’s the sort of match that people want to watch, with two big names going head-to-head, so I would ask our supporters to turn out in big numbers and cheer us on. We will be going all out for the victory and hopefully we can collect the three points.”

In terms of team selection, there is an outside chance that Wes Parker could be fit, but Tom Matthews is definitely ruled out. However, Michael Wood and Danny Matson are back in contention.

Kick-off at the Staffsmart Stadium is 3.00pm and the match referee is Geoff Law. There will be live match updates throughout the afternoon here on bufc.co.uk.
