Rampant Tigers maul the Pilgrims

Boston United were put to the sword by rampant Hull City in their latest Puma Youth Alliance clash on Saturday morning.

The Pilgrims were thrashed 6-1 by the Tigers and even found themselves trailing 5-0 at the half-time interval.

Billy Oliver gave United a crumb of consolation with his 62nd minute goal, following great work from Mitchell Griffiths.

However, it was an otherwise a tale of woe for the Pilgrims who have now lost all six Puma Youth Alliance fixtures played so far this season.

United’s head of youth Steve Welsh told bufc.co.uk: “Full credit must go to Hull City – they were fantastic. We were poor on the day, but Hull were exceptional and there was a massive gulf between the sides.

“They are gearing up to become a Premier League Academy, so we knew that our work was cut out before we had even started on Saturday. However, we should have performed much better than we actually did.”
