Article Date: 6 Oct 2008
Save The Pilgrims
The ‘Save The Pilgrims’ total is approaching five figures, following a bumper day of collections on Saturday.
The bucket collection staged at the Bradford Park Avenue fixture raised £1,446 and other donations received during the day pushed the latest total to £9,288.
Chairman David Newton told bufc.co.uk: “It is a fantastic effort and I would like to thank everybody who donated money, not just on Saturday, but at any point throughout the appeal so far.
“I would also like to pass on my thanks to Des Portas for his organisation of the bucket collection on Saturday.”
The ‘Save The Pilgrims’ campaign is continuing and money can be donated in a variety of ways, including online, over the telephone or in person at the club offices.
