If you are considering your options for next season, Boston United are holding an invitation-only trial for selected youngsters in April.

We are looking for players who have been released from Football League clubs who would like to trial to join our advanced youth squad next season (under-17s to under-19s age groups).

Boston United are currently in Vanarama National League North, with their football Academy offering professional, full-time coaching and fitness training.

This invitation-only trial is by application only. If you would be interested in finding out further information and checking your eligibility, please contact academy@bufc.co.uk.

This trial will give you an opportunity to find out more about the Academy and advanced squad, meet the staff and coaching team and see what we can offer to you — helping you decide what is best for your future in football.

Successful players will be invited to join Boston United's advanced youth squad, combined with studying towards a BTEC sports qualification with full-time daily professional football training and competitive fixtures.

Designed for players aged 16 to 19 years old, the programme includes:
• Full-time, daily football training: minimum of 10 hours weekly training delivered by fully-qualified coaches.
• Full pre-season and season training and nutritional programme.
• Pre-season team building trips.

• Onsite fitness area, kitchen, chill-out area with TV and music, free pool table and table tennis.
• Pathway to Boston United first team.

United head of youth Martyn Bunce said: "This is a great opportunity for young aspiring players to join Boston United who have been released by Football League clubs. We offer a fantastic football package for young, aspiring players.

"By seeing these players every day in training, we work hard to help build their fitness levels and physique to use on the pitch, as well as their confidence. Being released from a club can be hard, but it does not mean the end of your football career.

"We want to help players make strides towards a career in professional football. In previous years we have signed several youth players to the first team including Harry Vince (England C international), Taylor Gray, Ryan Pratt and Jack Withers.

"Our players had an excellent season and because of this they have since stepped up which is great for their development. We are continuously working with players and their individual strengths and stepping them up to our under-21s and first team allows players to shine.

"The Boston United Academy motto is 'Honesty, Hard Work, Commitment and Pride' — our main aim is to help players develop as individuals and progress on the first team pathway, but also to work as a team.

"There are many benefits and potential pathways leading on from our football and education programme.

"We want players to aspire to play professional football, but their education is very important to us. We want to give them the right tools for other potential pathways including university or scholarships abroad. We offer fully-recognised qualifications, so players can pursue a career in the sports industry or for their UCAS applications for university.

"We are providing a fantastic opportunity to young players who have been released by a professional club, but still have the ambition and aspiration to progress their football career. We are looking for players who just need the right environment to develop their ability, fitness and technique while gaining an education and we provide that environment."

Players who wish to apply for Boston United Academy trials can e-mail academy@bufc.co.uk.
