Boston United are back on the road in Vanarama National League North on Tuesday evening with the relatively short trip to face Alfreton Town.

Fresh from Saturday’s important 2-0 win at Worcester City, the Pilgrims will be aiming for quickfire back-to-back successes away from home.

Adam Chapman and Louis Briscoe scored the all-important goals at the Victoria Ground at the weekend and they are set to retain their places, although fellow midfielder Harry Vince is a doubt after being substituted against Worcester after landing awkwardly on his neck.

Kidderminster Harriers loanee Mani Dieseruvwe is pushing for a starting place after emerging from the bench in Saturday’s victory.

The players who sat out the Worcester fixture are all expected to miss out once again through a variety of injury problems.

The Pilgrims will line-up against former keeper Fabian Spiess, who completed the 2015-2016 campaign in United colours.

Last season’s corresponding fixture ended 2-1 in the Pilgrims’ favour following two strikes from Jordan Blinco, while Gregg Smith's stoppage time winner ensured a memorable 3-2 victory for United in this season's reverse fixture in September.
