Beesley handed the visitors a first half lead and added two further goals after the break to seal Trinity's progress to a semi-final clash against Grimsby Town, despite Carl Piergianni's headed equaliser.

United, who saw a flurry of early Jamie McGhee chances go begging, also saw full-back Zak Mills dismissed late on for two bookable offences.
