Richard Brodie is in line to make his Boston United debut on Saturday as the Pilgrims prepare to welcome Chorley to The Jakemans Stadium.

Brodie completed his move to Lincolnshire on Thursday and is set to start up front as Adam Murray’s United side plot a return to winning ways at the weekend.

The continued absence of Gregg Smith and the loan departure of Waide Fairhurst mean that an instant debut for Brodie is likely.

The Pilgrims will be without the services of defender Josh Robinson who serves a one-match suspension for the red card he picked up against Stockport County, while winger Marcus Marshall will undergo a fitness check due to an ongoing groin problem.

Chorley were beaten 2-1 at FC Halifax Town in midweek in what was only their fourth defeat of the league season to date. They are third with 47 points to their credit.

Last season’s corresponding fixture ended 2-1 in the Magpies’ favour.

Saturday’s match referee is Richard Wild and kick-off is at 3.00pm.

Updates for those not in attendance will be available on Twitter.
