Burnley, who currently top the west division of the Football League Youth Alliance, lost all three matches in September but have won every other fixture to date this season.

While Burnley are making their first appearance in this season’s competition, the Pilgrims have already won six matches to reach the third round stage.

United have matched their best-ever run in the competition by reaching round three, but when they did so in 2004, the Pilgrims had won only two previous matches having entered in the first round as a Football League club themselves.

Admission to The Jakemans Stadium on Tuesday evening is £4 for adults and £2 for concessions.
