Centre sides enjoy Bruges Cup challenge

Boston United Centre of Excellence under-10s and 12s were in action over the Easter weekend in the Bruges Cup.

The Centre of Excellence were represented in their first tour in five years at the Bruges Cup in Belgium, with the under-10s finishing runners-up and under-12s finishing in third place overall.

Under-10s – Group Stage;
v Bath & Wiltshire Boys B (won) 3-0
v De Gunners (won) 2-0
v KSK Steenbrugge (won) 1-0
v RKSV Mierlohout (won) 4-0
v Geeraardsbergen (won) 2-0
v Hilvaria (won) 3-0

Final –
v FC Nuenen (lost) 0-1

Under-12s – Group Stage;
v Kewford Eagles (lost) 1-0
v ASC Nieuwland (won) 2-0
v Jong Male VV (won) 2-1
v SK Eernegem (won) 2-0
v VV Kloetinge (won) 5-0

Semi-Final –
v FC Chilcompton (lost) 0-0 (on penalties)

Third/fourth place play-off –
v SC Deventer (won) 2-1

This was a fantastic event and experience for all the players and a special thanks go to the staff, Mark Melson, Martyn Lakin, Callum Lawe, Matthew Dye and Daniel Meyer for their time and efforts over the weekend.
