Five charity matches concluded the season at The Jakemans Stadium — with thousands of pounds raised for good causes in the process.

Matches took place between Sunday and Wednesday and a total of £6,685.62 was generated.

Proceedings got under way on Sunday morning with the Boston Police and Ambulance Service taking on their Skegness counterparts, while Drayton Kia (pictured) and Listers Toyota fought it out on Sunday afternoon.

Leverton SFC and Old Leake contested the Dickie Dales Memorial Cup on Monday, Boston Grammar School and Giles Academy met on Tuesday and Kirton Town and Wyberton contested the Anne Murray memorial match on Wednesday.

Worthy causes benefiting from the charity matches included the special care baby unit and children’s ward at Pilgrim Hospital, Macmillan Cancer Support and the Butterfly Hospice.
