Club Statement

Chairman David Newton commented:

"Yesterday we were contacted by the Daily Mail regarding an article they intended publishing in respect of 'irregular betting patterns' surrounding Boston United’s last game of the season against Stalybridge Celtic. This came as a complete surprise to the club.

"Subsequent discussions with the FA revealed that some information had been provided to them and they were looking into that information, however no formal investigation has been instigated. I confirmed to the FA that the club would fully co-operate with any investigations that may take place."
