Boston United have completed the signing of experienced centre-half Ryan Cresswell.

The 31-year-old has linked up with the Pilgrims from Evo-Stik Northern Premier Division side Mickleover Sports where spent a short spell following an EFL career featuring the likes of Bury, Rotherham United, Southend United, Fleetwood Town and Northampton Town.

Cresswell is eligible to make his United debut at York City on Saturday.

United have, meanwhile, cancelled the contract of utility player Spencer Harris by mutual consent.

The 28-year-old midfielder, who made the majority of his United appearances at centre-half, played 28 times for the Pilgrims and has departed ahead of a trip to Australia to fulfil best man duties at a close friend's upcoming wedding.

He departs with the club's thanks and best wishes for the future.
