Dixon set to become loan Pilgrim

The 19-year-old is poised to join United for one month initially, having completed a similar spell with Grantham Town on Sunday.

Dixon will be eligible up to and including the Skrill North trip to Colwyn Bay on February 15 and could make his debut against Solihull Moors on Saturday.

He made his Magpies debut in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy against Scunthorpe United last season — and scored once in seven outings for the Gingerbreads during his recent month at the Meres Stadium.
