Boston United go in search of their first away win in Vanarama National League North on Saturday — against a side yet to win at all.

Hosts Altrincham are winless in 11 league matches to date, although they did defeat Gainsborough Trinity (3-2) at Moss Lane in the Emirates FA Cup last weekend while the Pilgrims were emerging as 2-1 victors at Kirby Muxloe.

United will be aiming to end September unbeaten after picking up seven points from a possible nine in league action and subsequently progressing in the FA Cup last time out, while Gregg Smith will be hoping to score in a fourth successive league contest.

The hosts are now managed by Jim Harvey, who took over following Neil Young’s exit at the end of August.

New signing Ben Gordon could make his United debut at left-back — but none of Dennis Greene’s injured players are expected to return.

Nat Brown, Herve Pepe-Ngoma, Shane Clarke, Grant Roberts and Callum Chippendale are all still sidelined.

United’s last visit to Moss Lane unfolded in April 2014 when a resolute rearguard action secured a 0-0 draw.

UNITED KIT WATCH: Amber/Black.
