FA Youth Cup clash only days away

Craig Singleton2 Dec 2011 - 15:45

The Jakemans Stadium will play host to FA Youth Cup third round action on Tuesday evening with Boston United entertaining Championship giants Burnley.

The Pilgrims have defeated Lincoln United, Mickleover Sports, Pinxton, Stourport Swifts, Burton Albion and Bradford City to reach round three and club officials are now appealing for a bumper attendance to back the United youngsters in their glamour tie against the Clarets.

United press officer Craig Singleton, who has followed the FA Youth Cup journey every step of the way to date, told bufc.co.uk: "The lads have played some brilliant football and have attracted plenty of plaudits from those who have seen them play.

"The attendance of 437 in the second round was excellent, but we hope to see many more attending Tuesday's third round tie.

"Burnley are undoubtedly a fine side and could field as many as five youth internationals, so it should be another interesting evening for all concerned."

Admission to The Jakemans Stadium is priced £4 for adults and £2 for concessions on Tuesday evening and the match has been kindly sponsored by Richard Maxwell and Guests.

Stay tuned to bufc.co.uk on Monday and Tuesday for full match build-up...
