Hipwell set for reserve team debut

Hipwell set for reserve team debut

Craig Singleton16 Dec 2011 - 11:13

Boston United Reserves entertain local rivals Horncastle Town at The Jakemans Stadium on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 2.00pm).

The Pilgrims will be aiming to overcome their bogey side, who have gained the upper hand in terms of recent results against United.

Horncastle were 2-1 victors over the Pilgrims in a stormy Challenge Cup encounter earlier in the season.

With goalkeeper Ricky Drury on loan at Quorn and fellow stopper Andy Hewitt on first team duty, youth team custodian Marc Hipwell will make his reserve team debut.

Elsewhere, former Horncastle favourite Tony Edwards is away with the first team, meaning youngster Jordan Nuttell could get the nod to partner Tom Sergeant up front.

United (from): Hipwell, Barker, Bishop, Dawson, Eustace, Field, Jackson, Lovett, Nuttell, Ogden, E Price, M Price, Rawdon, Reed, Sergeant, Snaith, Sturman, Whitaker.
