Hot prospect Reed pledges future

Boston United midfielder James Reed has pledged his future to the Pilgrims by signing a new deal.

The 17-year-old midfield prospect, who scored his first senior goal on the final day of last season against Guiseley, has put pen-to-paper to become part of Jason Lee’s first team squad.

The Boston Grammar School sixth former, who has recently been named head boy at the school for 2012-2013, will continue to be eligible for Steve Welsh’s youth team and is expected to feature in the FA Youth Cup next season.

Reed’s signature brings Lee’s squad to 15 members to date.
