
Reflecting on Monday evening's win on penalties after a 3-3 draw in normal time and a Marc Newsham hat-trick Hyde said;
"Overall we are pleased, we got on top of the game, having the better of the possession but at times lacked cutting edge in the final third.
"The second half was outstanding, we dictated play but were disappointed to concede late from a set piece taking the game to penalties.
Striker Marc Newsham scored a hat-trick in eleven minutes, making his tally five in two competitive games so far with the other two goals against Lincoln United in the same competition. Hyde said;
"Marc has great ability, this showed in his scoring record last season. Marc can score goals to win games and works hard for the team.
Finally looking ahead to Wednesday evenings game at the Jakemans Stadium against Hull City and indeed following games against Mansfield and Peterborough Hyde said;
"We are looking forward to these tests against teams at a higher level who will retain the ball a lot more, this will also allow us to look at all the players ahead of the new season.
