Boston United have signed goalkeeper Matt Gledhill — subject to international clearance being granted.

The 20-year-old former Cork City stopper has agreed to join the Pilgrims for the 2014-2015 campaign and will be eligible to play in competitive matches when his international clearance is received.

The goalkeeper has also spent spells with Stoke City, Sligo Rovers and Portsmouth earlier in the career and will challenge Sam Vince for the United number one jersey.

United boss Dennis Greene told bufc.co.uk: “We are delighted to get Matt onboard. Hopefully his international clearance will arrive in the next couple of days and he can prepare fully for the season ahead.”
