Marshall and Ferguson ruled out

Conor Marshall was stretchered off during Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Gloucester City — and has suffered a fractured cheekbone and eye socket.

He was injured in a collision with team-mate Junior Konadu and kept in overnight at Pilgrim Hospital.

Sunderland defender David Ferguson, meanwhile, has returned to the Stadium of Light with a knee injury cutting short his loan spell with the Pilgrims.
