The post-Jason Lee era got off to the worst possible start as Boston United crashed to a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Vauxhall Motors on Saturday.
The home side were revved up from the start and cruised into a four-goal lead inside 34 minutes, with Tom Rutter netting twice alongside further goals from Danny Fearnehough and Ashley Stott.
United stemmed the tide after the break but never seriously threatened any sort of comeback.
