Boston United are in FA Cup second qualifying round action on Saturday when they entertain Dereham Town at The Jakemans Stadium.

With £4,500 prize money and a place in Monday’s third qualifying round draw up-for-grabs, Dennis Greene will be eager to see no slip-ups from his side against the Ryman North outfit.

The match is all-pay with season tickets not valid for the FA Cup. Normal league admission prices apply in all areas of the stadium.

Dereham have prevailed on penalties (against St Ives Town and St Neots Town) in both rounds so far this season.

United will be without the services of suspended centre-half Carl Piergianni, but striker Marc Newsham is expected to make his long-awaited return to the squad.

Newsham has not been involved competitively for the Pilgrims since April 1 when he emerged as a second half substitute at Altrincham.

Dereham, who could include former Pilgrim Michael Clunan in their squad, won 2-0 at AFC Sudbury on Tuesday, having lost 6-3 to Harlow Town last Saturday.

There have been no previous meetings between the sides

If a replay is required, it will be played at Aldiss Park on Tuesday — postponing the Pilgrims’ Vanarama Conference North trip to Worcester City in the process.

Saturday’s match referee is Michael D’Aguilar and kick-off is at 3.00pm.

Match coverage will be available via @bostonunited on Twitter.
