Newsham strike seals first day win
Striker Marc Newsham scored the decisive goal as Boston United started their campaign with a sixth successive opening day victory.
Newsham struck in the opening stages of Saturday's 1-0 win at Droylsden which firmly buried United's recent woes at the Butchers Arms.
The Pilgrims could have won by a greater margin, but were nevertheless satisfied with an excellent day's work on Tameside.
