The Secretary of State has decided not to call in The Quadrant planning application and has referred the decision back to Boston Borough Council, who voted to approve the plans on 5 August 2014.

Following a 21-day period which was extended slightly, confirmation has now been received from the Secretary of State that no further involvement is needed. Now, Chestnut Homes and the Council will conclude the Section 106 legal agreement and then planning permission can be formally granted.

Subject to securing all the necessary funding and progressing all required technical approvals, work could start on The Quadrant as early as 2015. Detailed applications for the residential and commercial elements of the scheme will also be brought forward in phases as the project progresses.
