Boston United were beaten 2-1 by Birmingham City on Wednesday afternoon despite a goal from in-form striker Jordan Nuttell.
Nuttell had handed the Pilgrims a half-time lead, but the Pilgrims conceded twice in the second half to lose at the Wast Hills training ground.
Steve Welsh's side were patched up as unavailabilities ravaged their selection options.
