Boston United will be aiming to get their season off-and-running when they play host to Alfreton Town on Tuesday evening (kick-off 7.45pm).

The Pilgrims will be looking to bounce back from Saturday’s 4-0 opening day defeat at the hands of Southport with a positive result in their first home encounter of the season.

Opponents Alfreton, managed by John McDermott and boosted by a whole host of summer signings, kicked off with a 2-0 win over promoted Blyth Spartans.

United striker Gregg Smith will be eligible to feature ahead of his impending three-match suspension incurred for a red card on Saturday.

Alfreton have ex-Pilgrims Marcus Marshall, Cecil Nyoni and Malachi Lavelle-Moore within their ranks.

Tuesday evening's match referee is Anthony Tankard and match updates will be available on Twitter.
