Boston United exited the Lincolnshire Senior Cup at the first hurdle after an incident-packed 3-2 loss at the hands of Lincoln United on Wednesday.

In a match switched to The Jakemans Stadium due to ongoing pitch problems at Ashby Avenue, the Whites led at half-time through Kevin Hemagou and saw their position strengthened when Boston keeper Dylan Parkin was red-carded for a foul on Paul Grimes, although the Lincoln striker spurned the resultant spot-kick.

Matt Cotton soon doubled the Whites' lead but Boston staged a late rally to seemingly take the match to penalties through Grant Roberts and Andre Johnson, but Michael Jacklin had the last laugh with a stoppage time winner.
