Crunch Vanarama National League North play-off action takes place at The Jakemans Stadium on Wednesday evening with the visit of North Ferriby United.

The fifth-placed Pilgrims entertain the second-placed Villagers in the first leg of the semi-final with Dennis Greene’s side chasing a lead to take into Sunday’s second leg at Church Road.

Boston clinched fifth place with a resounding 5-0 win at Stalybridge Celtic on Saturday, while Ferriby secured runners-up position despite a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Alfreton Town.

Pilgrims’ defensive duo Liam Marrs and Richard Jones could both be involved after recovering from respective ankle and knee injuries — but no changes are expected to United’s starting XI which won so comprehensively at Bower Fold at the weekend.

Ferriby rested a number of players on Saturday, including top scorer Tom Denton, but they are expected to be at full-strength in midweek.

Boston’s meetings against Ferriby during the regulation campaign both ended in defeat — 4-3 away from home in November and 2-1 at The Jakemans Stadium in March.

Wednesday's match referee is Simon Barrow and kick-off is at 7.45pm, with updates available on Twitter.
