Boston United tackle one of their toughest assignments of the campaign when they travel to face league leaders Barrow on Saturday afternoon.

United head to the Furness Building Society Stadium at Holker Street to face a Barrow side they defeated on the opening day of the season (2-1) — but who have won all nine home games so far in league action.

Barrow have ranged from three 1-0 wins within their nine home victories to thumping Chorley 4-0 and Gloucester City 5-0.

United boss Dennis Greene will make a number of fitness checks following two bruising encounters against North Ferriby United in the FA Trophy.

Top scorer Dayle Southwell could be in contention to start after missing two matches with a hamstring injury before emerging as a 76th minute substitute against North Ferriby on Tuesday.

Conor Marshall and Zeph Thomas are added to the squad which was on duty for the midweek replay.

Last season’s corresponding fixture ended 4-4, with Ricky Miller scoring a hat-trick.

Kick-off at Holker Street is 3.00pm.
