Boston United reach the halfway mark in their Vanarama National League North campaign when they travel to Alfreton Town on Saturday afternoon.

The Pilgrims will play their 21st league game — which is five more than five other teams in the division — at the Impact Arena they last visited in September 2010.

United were 2-1 victors over the Reds at The Jakemans Stadium on October 17 courtesy of goals from Grant Roberts and Ryan Robbins.

Alfreton went five games in the league without a win prior to last weekend’s excellent 2-1 victory at Harrogate Town and Nicky Law’s side currently sit 12th with 20 points to their credit from 17 matches played so far.

United boss Dennis Greene is likely to recall full-back Liam Marrs, who was an unused substitute during Tuesday’s 2-1 defeat at Worcester City.

Jay Rollins could also make the bench after a 45-minute outing for the under-21s on Thursday evening.

Mark Jones and Richard Jones are United’s only definite absentees.
