Boston United’s Positive Pilgrims, sponsored by Smart Move of Boston, secured an 8-0 win in second round of the FA Disability Cup on Sunday.

The Pilgrims, managed by Richard Houghton and Lewis Wright, comfortably overcame Able Too United from Staffordshire to book a northern final date against Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday April 21.

The victors on April 21 will then travel to St George’s Park on Sunday May 12 to meet the winners of the southern section (Plymouth Argyle or Health4lifes from Essex) in the national final.

Josh Maund, Joshua Walker and Joshua Orrell fired the Pilgrims into a 3-0 half-time lead on Sunday.

Maund and Walker netted their second goals of the afternoon either side of a George Brinkley strike, before Paul Garner and James Roulston also struck to complete a memorable afternoon for Boston connections.

Positive Pilgrims: Atkinson, Orrell, Bird, Roulston, Simpson, Hallam, Brinkley (Crowley 82), Garner, Johnson (Grant 64), Walker, Maund (Kieza 63). Subs (not used): Dugdale, Kent.
