FA Cup final referee Kevin Friend will take charge of Boston United's pre-season friendly against Grimsby Town on Thursday evening.
Friend, who is stepping up his own pre-season preparations ahead of the new Premier League campaign, presided over Manchester City against Watford at Wembley in May.
His last appearance at The Jakemans Stadium unfolded in 2016 when he took charge of John Blackwell's testimonial against Peterborough United.
