Boston United begin their latest National League North play-off campaign on Tuesday evening with a trip to face Alfreton Town (kick-off 7.45pm).

United head to the Impact Arena to begin their sixth Step 2 play-off adventure – two years on from their last involvement where memorable away wins over Kidderminster Harriers and AFC Fylde preceded a gut-wrenching defeat at York City in the promotion final.

United boss Ian Culverhouse is set to select from an unchanged squad, with no new injuries reported following Saturday's 2-0 win at Hereford FC.

Alfreton, who are unbeaten at home since the end of November, finished five points ahead of the Pilgrims.

The Reds were 4-0 victors over the Pilgrims in the meeting between the sides in September, before United responded with their own 3-1 home win in December.

Should the match remain level after 90 minutes, it will head to extra-time and potentially penalties.
