Senior Cup tie next up for Pilgrims

2 months ago By Craig Singleton

Boston United are in Lincolnshire Senior Cup quarter-final action on Tuesday evening when they make the trip to Lincoln United (kick-off 7.45pm).

Adam Murray's side will be aiming to take the first step to lifting county silverware for the first time since 2013 and their quest begins at Ashby Avenue.

His contracted players are all in contention to feature, with the exception of striker Gregg Smith who is continuing his rehabilitation from his long-term ankle injury.

Should the scoreline be level after 90 minutes, penalties will decide who progresses.

The winners will face either Stamford AFC, Grimsby Town or Scunthorpe United in the semi-finals. Stamford face Grimsby in the first round on Tuesday, with the winners entertaining Scunthorpe on Thursday in the quarter-finals.
