Boston United go in pursuit of back-to-back home victories on Saturday afternoon when they welcome Southport to The Jakemans Stadium.

Fresh from their 2-1 comeback success over York City last weekend, United will be targeting consecutive home wins against the Sandgrounders (kick-off 3.00pm).

Midfielder Brad Abbott could make his United debut having completed his transfer from Buxton, while manager Craig Elliott will hope to have fellow newcomer Stephen Brogan fit for selection after a hand injury.

Elliott will check on the fitness of midfield lynchpin Jamie McGuire who limped out of the York victory after 72 minutes.

Opponents Southport, who beat United 4-0 in the reverse fixture on the opening day of the season, have not won in their last dozen league encounters.

They are now managed by former England international Kevin Davies, who assumed control at Haig Avenue in October.

Southport were held 3-3 at Tamworth in their last league outing and have three wins, three draws and four defeats to their name on the road so far this season.

Saturday afternoon's match referee is Scott Simpson and match updates will be available on Twitter.
