Stokes gets green light for United debut
Boston United winger Jason Stokes has received international clearance ahead of Saturday’s big kick-off.
The 21-year-old, who played for Racing Montegnee in Belgium last season, has finally been granted the necessary permission to play in competitive matches — meaning he is available ahead of Saturday’s trip to Droylsden.
Stokes, who has previously played for Barnsley and Rossington Main, had been granted special dispensation to play in pre-season friendlies while his international clearance was ratified.
