Witton Albion and Boston United will make a third attempt to play their Buildbase FA Trophy third qualifying round tie on Tuesday evening.

Fog forced the original tie to be abandoned on Saturday November 26 before a frozen pitch scuppered hopes playing the match last Tuesday.

The sides will reconvene at Wincham Park (kick-off 7.45pm) in the hope of determining a winner to play host to National League side Chester FC on Saturday.

If a replay, however, is required, that encounter would take place at The Jakemans Stadium on Saturday instead.

United caretaker boss Martyn Bunce will assess his squad for knocks and niggles following the 3-3 draw at Stalybridge Celtic on Saturday — but not too many changes are expected.

Waide Fairhurst, Harry Vince and Harry Payne will all be in the travelling party alongside those on duty for the weekend stalemate at Bower Fold.

Witton were 5-0 victors over 10-man Romulus in Evo-Stik Division One South on Saturday.
