Boston United have completed the loan signing of Guiseley striker Reece Thompson.

The 24-year-old, who was North Ferriby United's top goalscorer in the National League last season with 12 strikes, has linked up with the Pilgrims until New Year's Day initially.

He is eligible to make his United debut in Saturday's trip to high-flying Harrogate Town.

Peterborough United striker Morgan Penfold, meanwhile, has been recalled by his parent club. The 19-year-old made one appearance for the Pilgrims (at Curzon Ashton) during his loan spell.
