The
thurlby.net logo will be emblazoned on the club’s new home and away kits, produced in conjunction with Errea and Kitlocker.com.
The Pilgrims’ new white and red away kit has been unveiled — with the home strip to follow later in the closed season.
Thurlby Motors have showrooms at Butterwick, Alford and Louth and have linked up with the Pilgrims to become main shirt sponsors following a number of smaller sponsorship deals with the club.
Reflecting on the news, United commercial manager Craig Singleton told
bufc.co.uk: “We are thrilled to be working with Thurlby Motors as our new main shirt sponsors.
“We met Chris Roberts and his staff and it quickly became clear that Thurlby Motors were keen to partner with Boston United, which is obviously great news.
“We have so much excellent work going on in the local community and Thurlby Motors were keen to support that.”
Chris Roberts, managing director of Thurlby Motors, added: “We are absolutely delighted to be able to sponsor Boston United and work closely with them not only in terms of the first team, but also their community programme.
“Boston United’s community work is excellent and to be able to support the club and in turn their local activities is something we are really proud to do.”
Thurlby Motors is a privately owned, family-run dealer group based in the heart of Lincolnshire. With customer service as their bedrock, Thurlby Motors have grown from a single site to three thriving businesses offering full main dealership facilities including Vauxhall and Nissan new and used car sales, servicing, parts sales, accessories and accident repair centre.
The company was acquired by the current owner in 1981, at a time when Vauxhall Motors were breaking new ground in vehicle manufacturing with the introduction of front-wheel drive cars using overhead-cam engines such as the Nova, Astra and the then new Cavalier.
Meanwhile, United's new away kit, modelled by rising stars Tom Ward and James Reed, features white shirts with red trim, red shorts and white and red hooped socks.
Stay tuned for a release date of the Pilgrims' new away kit.
