Top spot eludes Pilgrims after defeat

By Craig Singleton

Boston United missed the chance to go top of the National League U19 Alliance on Wednesday afternoon after losing 2-0 at Rugby Borough.

With nearest rivals FCV Stamford and Eastwood Community inactive, the Pilgrims knew that three points at Kilsby Lane would take them top of Division G.

Lee Mitchell's side succumbed to goals in either half though — ahead of next week's return fixture against the same opposition at The Jakemans Stadium.
