The Centre of Excellence under-14s and under-16s took part in the second annual Keith Alexander Memorial Tournament at Sincil Bank over the weekend.

Both age groups faced group matches against near neighbours and hosts Lincoln City, npower Championship side Hull City and League 1 side Scunthorpe United.

Both age groups narrowly lost the group matches meaning the under-14s faced a seventh/eighth play-off game against Peterborough United which after normal time ended 1-1 with Posh eventually winning 4-3 on penalties.

The under-16s lost their seventh/eighth play-off against Rotherham United 2-1.

Elsewhere, the under-10s lost 12-0 to Arsenal Soccer Schools. The under-11s lost 5-0 to Sheffield Wednesday's development squad and the under-14s lost narrowly 1-0 to Bedford Town.

The under-13s won 3-1 against Loughborough Dynamo. Blake Kenneally-Forrester scored twice and Sam Anthony scored once to complete the win.
