Following discussions with the Football Conference and consultation with City officials, a 3.00pm inspection will be held at The Jakemans Stadium on Friday.
The pitch is currently covered in three inches of snow, but is also heavily frozen in places.
If Saturday’s match goes ahead, the Pilgrims will be aiming to get back on the winning trail against a Worcester side they have not yet faced this season.
City are winless in six contests in 2012 to date, having enjoyed an excellent first half to the campaign. Featuring ex-Pilgrim Ryan Clarke in their ranks, Worcester have collected only two points from a possible 18 in the early weeks of the New Year.
United expect to have an unchanged squad to choose from, with Ryan Semple (knee) and Liam Parker (ankle) both continuing to miss out.
Last season’s corresponding fixture ended 1-0 in the Pilgrims’ favour, following Worcester’s 3-2 win at The Jakemans Stadium in an earlier FA Cup tie.
Saturday’s scheduled match referee is Adrian Holmes, while fans not in attendance can follow all the action on United Live.
League sponsors Blue Square Bet have the Pilgrims at 6/5 to beat Worcester. The draw is on offer at 5/2, while an away win is 7/4.
