Sunderland's under-21s hit five goals past Boston United on Tuesday evening at The Jakemans Stadium.
Two excellent goals from Mikael Mandron along with a goal apiece for Lyndon Gooch, Daniel Wright and former United loanee Liam Agnew were enough to give Sunderland victory.
Boston did have their chances, with Jay Rollins' excellent cross just missed by Cameron Johnson while Jake Sheridan and Carl Piergianni both had efforts cleared off the line in the first half.
