Boston United will be aiming to get back to winning ways when they entertain Nuneaton Town at The Jakemans Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Pilgrims suffered a 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Darlington 1883 last weekend at the same time Boro were losing 2-1 at home to Bradford Park Avenue.

Nuneaton are winless in six, having lost five matches in a row, following a previous run of eight consecutive victories when Tommy Wright replaced Kevin Wilson as manager in November.

Striker Colby Bishop is pushing for his first start in United colours following a lively cameo from the bench against Darlington, while full-backs Kalern Thomas and Ben Gordon are targeting recalls too.

The Pilgrims are not expected to have any of their injured players back in contention, with Marcus Marshall the closest to a return following thigh trouble.

Ex-Pilgrims Christian Dibble, Greg Tempest and Greg Mills are all part of the Boro squad.

Last season’s corresponding fixture ended 2-1 to the Pilgrims, a result which all but secured their play-off place, while the spoils were shared (2-2) at Liberty Way earlier this season.

Saturday’s match referee is Garreth Rhodes and kick-off is at 3.00pm.

Updates for those not in attendance will be available on Twitter.
