United chase seventh away victory

United chase seventh away victory

Craig Singleton21 Feb 2012 - 10:47

Blue Square Bet North action awaits Boston United on Tuesday evening with a long trip to Vauxhall Motors in store (kick-off 7.45pm).

The Pilgrims make their third-ever visit to Rivacre Park and will be aiming to score their first goal and record their maiden victory at the Ellesmere Point venue.

United suffered a 1-0 defeat in 2008 and picked up a 0-0 draw in 2010 but will be hoping to go one better against a side currently occupying the third and final relegation spot.

Motors won the reverse fixture 2-1 earlier in the campaign and now have former Pilgrim Kevin Holsgrove in their ranks, although the one-time United player has not figured much of late.

The Pilgrims will be minus the services of long-term injury victims Ryan Semple (knee) and Liam Parker (ankle) but expect to have an otherwise fully-fit squad to choose from.

Motors have collected 16 of their 27 points on home soil, while the Pilgrims have attained 19 of their 37 points away from home.

Supporters not in attendance at Rivacre Park can follow all the action on United Live.

In one of six Blue Square Bet North clashes to be played on Tuesday evening, league sponsors Blue Square Bet have the Pilgrims at 5/4 to record an away win. Motors are priced 17/10, while the draw is on offer at 12/5.
