Boston United will be aiming to get back to winning ways when they welcome Stalybridge Celtic to The Jakemans Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

After emerging victorious in their opening three contests of the new Vanarama Conference North campaign, the Pilgrims collected only one point from a possible six over a challenging Bank Holiday weekend.

United were unfortunate not to claim all three points at Tamworth on Monday and goalscorer Kaine Felix will be hoping for a second start in succession.

Fellow attacker Jamie McGhee is back in contention after overcoming a knee injury sustained against North Ferriby United last weekend.

United will still be without Jay Dowie and Marc Newsham although both players have stepped up their training programmes during the last week.

Opponents Stalybridge have collected seven points from five matches to date, with their two wins both arriving at home (against AFC Fylde and Stockport County).

Away from home, Celtic have drawn 2-2 at Worcester City and lost 2-0 at Chorley.

Last season’s corresponding fixture ended 4-1 in United’s favour — one of five victories secured by the Pilgrims in seven undefeated home encounters against Stalybridge.

Saturday’s match referee is Ricky Wootton and kick-off is at 3.00pm.

Match coverage will be available via @bostonunited on Twitter.
