Chairman David Newton has moved to thank fans for their support during 2014-2015 — in addition to confirming another freeze on season ticket prices.

Season ticket sales will get under way at 11.00am on Thursday (May 7) as the Pilgrims aim to shrug off their play-off semi-final elimination by launching another promotion bid in the re-branded Vanarama National League North.

The season ticket offering contains attractive incentives for all supporters — with particular emphasis placed on families, while under-10s can purchase a ‘Mini Pilgrims’ season ticket for just £25.

Speaking to bufc.co.uk, Mr Newton said: “Our supporters have been fantastic once again throughout the season and I would like to thank them for their support from the first day of the campaign against Barrow through to the heartbreak of the second leg of the play-off semi-final against Chorley on Saturday.

“Attendances have steadily grown throughout the season and the final three gates against Tamworth, Leamington and Chorley really reaffirmed the potential of the club.

“I would like to apologise to our supporters that we could not quite get the job done by securing promotion back to the Conference, but our play-off fate against Chorley was sealed by extremely fine margins.

“We have the core of a very good squad of players under contract going forward and everybody is focused on promotion in 2015-2016.”

Reflecting on the confirmation of season ticket prices, the United chairman added: “Our costs continue to rise year-on-year but we have taken the decision to hold prices for what is in effect an eighth year in a row.

“These prices are the ones which operated during our first season in charge in 2007-2008 and we have done our utmost to avoid increasing the admission charge.

“We strive to provide value-for-money and I truly believe our season ticket package is an extremely attractive way for fans to show their support for the football club ahead of the new season.”

A host of family tickets are available, incorporating one adult and one child, one adult and two children and two adults and two children offerings.

Supporters will be able to get their hands on the ‘Early Bird’ season ticket deals until Saturday May 30.

One season ticket buyer will be offered a full refund on their purchase. All supporters purchasing up to and including May 30 will be entered into a prize draw with one lucky fan receiving their money back.

Purchasers can visit The Jakemans Stadium in person — or call (01205) 364406.
