United edged out in derby clash

11 months ago By Craig Singleton

Ryan Pratt's exquisite first half lob was not enough as Boston United were edged out in their derby fixture against Boston Town on Tuesday.

Pratt had handed the Pilgrims a ninth minute lead on Carre's Grammar School's slick 3G surface but the Poachers turned the tables either side of half-time.

Dominic Goddard netted the equaliser on 18 minutes and Nicky Frost scored what turned out to be the winner just seconds after the restart for the second half.
