Boston United have clinched the signing of vastly-experienced defender Ben Davies.

Davies has a long and distinguished Football League career behind him and links up with the Pilgrims ahead of Saturday's National League North fixture against Spennymoor Town.

The 37-year-old, who can operate in either full-back position or in midfield, left Grimsby Town at the end of last season and has notably played for the likes of Derby County, Sheffield United and Portsmouth in recent years.

The Pilgrims have, meanwhile, registered teenagers Seth Greeves and Taylor Gray ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend. Both players are 17 and featured on the bench for the first team last season.

Greeves is expected to feature (on dual registration) for neighbours Boston Town in their derby fixture with Holbeach United on Saturday.
