United make pre-season return

The Pilgrims’ first teamers, alongside a number of trialists, were put through their paces by RAF physical training instructor David Waldie — under the watchful eyes of manager Dennis Greene and his assistant Martyn Bunce.

Striker Dayle Southwell took a full and active role in training following hernia surgery during the closed season.

Pre-season training will continue on Thursday evening — with five sessions in total lined up ahead of the Pilgrims’ opening pre-season friendly at Boston Town next Saturday (July 11).
